| "As vehicles
become smaller and lighter, so the size and weight of instrumentation has an increasing
effect on the test results... We took a long-term look at our instrumentation
strategy and decided that a radical new approach was needed. We didn't want a
work-around solution, we wanted something that would solve the problem." |

The TDAS
G5 Docking Station is designed for
on-vehicle/sled applications. |
TDAS G5 is a new
data acquisition technology that builds on innovations originally developed to
reduce the size and power consumption of high technology consumer products. A
single TDAS G5 system provides functionality that is equivalent to today's state-of-the-art
system, yet at not much bigger than a pack of cards, is around one-thirtieth the
size. The tightly integrated DAS module weighs just 200 g, compared with around 4.3 kg
for today's systems.
As
vehicles become smaller and lighter, the size and weight of instrumentation play
a key role in the results of the tests performed. The TDAS G5 system makes it easier
and faster for test labs to optimize the absolute weight of a test vehicle and
to achieve a realistic weight distribution. Light weight also allows the devices
to be mounted in better positions, with simpler fixings, potentially saving several
hours of set-up time.
Features:
- Module size: 25 x 54
x 85 mm, 200 grams
